PURPOSE: To reduce load arrangement distance to increase the speed by placing one item of articles at least on plural branch lines and taking out articles to be arranged properly to a main line at the approximately same time for proper load arrangement.

CONSTITUTION: Plural articles are placed on their respective branch lines 1 by items. For load arrangement in a tote box, the branch lines 1 each are selected so as to meet the number of rows and lines and the taking-out devices 3, 3... in the branch lines 1 are operated to take out the articles to be arranged properly on a main line 2. Therefore, the articles taken out from the respective branch lines 1 move onto the main line 2 by their dead weight, entering the tote box 4. It is thus possible to reduce the load arrangement distance after discharging to increase the speed.
