Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize the uniform application of an input/output device among plural operation systems by processing the input/output instructions given to the input/output device which is shared by plural operation system in the order of priority and based on the relative control information.

CONSTITUTION: The operation systems OS 111 - 113 working in the CPU 101 - 103 share an input/output controller 131 and the input/output devices 141 - 143 which are controlled by the controller 131. When the OS 111 - 113 accept the input/output instructions given to the devices 141 - 143, the controller 131 receives the necessary information including the one on the priority from the OS 111 - 113 and resistered these information in a memory 151. Then the controller 131 refers to the memory 151 and carries out the input/output instructions based on the priority. Thus it is possible to realize the uniform application of each input/output device among those OSs and then to improve the system throughput.
