To overcome the problem wherein, in a load control device which controls a load of a control terminal by load control signals transmitted thereto from a monitor terminal through a base unit, once the contents and the results of control are determined to be matched by the base unit, and some abnormality occurs thereafter, for instance, variation in the operating conditions of the load due to mixing of a radio noise or the like, the state of mismatch is continued to bring about loading conditions which are against the user's intention, and further invite confusion or the like in the subsequent control.
Upon receipt of the load control signals outputted from the monitor terminal 1, the control terminal 2 controls the load 13, and at the same time stores the contents of control in a writable-erasable memory 8. Thereafter, the control terminal 2 periodically monitors the operating conditions of the load 13 irrespective of the arrival of the control signals. In the case where the operating conditions of the load 13 are different from the instructed control contents due to mixing of noises, and where remote control relay or the like is in an abnormal operation, a comparator 22 determines that the operating conditions of the load 13 and the control contents are inconsistent. After determination of the inconsistency, a signal processor 19 controls the load 13 so that the operating conditions thereof are consistent with the control contents stored in the memory 8.
