Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load drive device that can change a cycle of load currents without using a complicated constitution to prevent deterioration in precision.SOLUTION: A load drive device 1 electrifies a load 2 through a full-bridge circuit 3, and detects load currents IL by current detection resistance 6. A control portion 13 generates driving signals by switching a first reference cycle T1 and a second reference cycle T2, a half of the first reference cycle with a changeover switch 9. A calculation portion 5 electrifies the load 2 at the beginning of the cycle T1 and stops the electrification when the current thereof reaches a reference threshold current. When temperature rise delays rise of the load current IL, the cycle is changed over to the beginning of the cycle T1, when the load current IL flows, and thereafter the rectification is stopped. At this time, the cycle is changed over to the shorter cycle T2 by switching the changeover switch 9, so that time elapsed until the next cycle T2 begins becomes shorter, which can suppress an average current of the load currents IL from reducing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
