Abstract:
To measure an elongation of a fastener, using a simple device and method which is introduced easily in a fastener manufacturing process, and does with only a minor modification in a fastener system.
The fastener system 1 uses a portable detector 13 such as one or more of reactance capacitors 15, 16, or an image processor such as a camera 34 and a laser. The fastener system 1 is detachably attached adjacently to a fastener, and a change in a gap or a specified shape of a bolt head or each of associated washers 26, 27 caused by relative movement of portions of the fastener system 1, is measured without contacting with a detecting portion undergoing the considerable relative movement when the fastener undergoes a distortion.
