PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and speedily supply a proper number of long materials by storing the material at a time by a sending-out base, collapsing the materials partially along the base at the time of retreating movement by a push-out rod, and sending out a proper number of the materials at one time by a wedge.
SOLUTION: A sending-out base 21 on which long materials A are loaded is inclined to form a running-out base 21 having the inclined surface. A wedge W is actuated by an elevation cylinder 31 to drop part of the materials A onto a conveyor C, at the stating end of the conveyor C. This time, any of stoppers S1 and Se are upright, and thereby the collopsed materials A are blocked by the stopper S1. A push rod 22 advances on a sending-out base 21 to push out the materials A, whereby the materials A on the base 21 are subjected to swinging movement by the push force of the rod applied to both longitudinal ends thereof A and accordingly they are aligned partially. The wedge W is raised by the cylinder 31 so that it penetrates the part between the materials A.
