To provide a load measuring device, load measuring method, and training machine that can prevent accuracy from being reduced by degradation with time and do not require regular calibration by an inspection person.
In a lower leg training machine 1, a target load is compared with an actual additive load only when a foot pedal moves (step S9), the calibration value of control current is calculated (step S11) when they do not match with each other, and the control current to be applied to a powder brake is automatically determined based on the calibration value. Therefore, accurate braking force (control load) according to the target load can be always generated. Therefore, load addition (load measurement) matching with the target load can be always performed, and the inspection person is not required to be regularly calibrated in order to perform highly accurate measurement.
