To provide a load relieving mechanism for horticultural binders, reducing an operation load when binding.
This horticultural binder binds an object to be bound by contacting and separating a head part 8 and a head receiving part 9 of an edge of a clincher arm 2 through switching operation of the clincher arm 2, putting the object to be bound into a binding tape (a) stretched between the head receiving part 9 and the head part 8 when opening, closing the clincher arm 2, and punching a staple from the head receiving part 9 followed by folding at the head part, and stitching the binding tape. The binder has a second engagement part 18b from punching of a staple to end of folding, continuing from a first engagement part 18a until closing of the clincher arm 2, among engagement parts of an operation link 4 to be engaged with an engagement part between opening and binding conditions. The angle to the longitudinal direction of a main handle 1 of the first engagement part 18a is made larger than 60°.
