PURPOSE: To simplify the process for producing a load resistor which needs to be integrated monolithically into a light function element and at the same time to improve controllability of the resistance in a load resistor integration type semiconductor light function element.
CONSTITUTION: In a load resistor integration type semiconductor light function element where a load resistor 16 is integrated at a light function element 17, the light function element 17 is in a structure where a photo transistor and a light emitting diode or the photo transistor and a laser diode are integrated adjacently or are in a thyristor structure and features feedback of light from a light emission part 22 of the element 17 to a light reception part 21 and uses a semiconductor layer 10 which is formed at the uppermost layer of the element as the load resistor 16, thus producing the load resistor using the same process as the light function element 17 for simplifying the manufacturing process and controlling the resistance easily by controlling the specific resistance of a semiconductor.
