PURPOSE: To improve storage efficiency with a rack length almost similar to an equipment length by liftably providing a carriage having an in/out handling fixture before and after a post vertically provided from a running machine body relating to a rack having a plurality of load storage parts in a running direction.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of performing out-stock work relating to a vessel 5 stored in a load storage part 3 of a rack 1, by operation of combining running movement of a running machine body 12 and lifting movement of carriages 16A, 16B, by moving any of in/out handling fixtures 17A, 17B to earlier arrive at relating to the load storage part 3, the in/out handling fixture in use is determined to move the running machine body to run. Here are lifted the carriages 16A, 16B by actuating a lifting unit 30 so that the in/out handling fixtures 17A, 17B in use correspond to the objective load storage part 3. Thereafter by performing running action of an in/out handling unit 10, delivery action of the in/out handing fixtures 17A, 17B, etc., the vessel 5 can be delivered to a transfer loading unit. In this way, in/out stock work can be performed without protruding the running machine body or the like to the outward from a rack end part.
