Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load support member for a chair which reduces contact pressure received by a seated person from a ridge part of a load receiving plate, can prevent generation of a step in the central region of the load receiving plate and pinching of an object, and can improve sitting comfort and quality feeling, and a chair.SOLUTION: Connection pieces 33, 34 for facilitating bending deformation of a load receiving plate 32 are provided by connecting the load receiving plate 32 and a frame part 31 at a distance longer than a linear distance from each other. A first ridge line part 38 is formed along a side of an end part of the load receiving plate 32 at connection parts of the load receiving plate 32 with the connection pieces 33, 34. First slits 39, which separate the first ridge line part 38 and extend in a direction away from the frame part 31, are formed at an end edge of the load receiving plate 32, which faces the frame part 31. A plurality of variable belt parts 40 extending in the direction away from the frame part 31 are formed by the first slits 39. The frame part and the variable belt parts are connected by the connection pieces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
