To provide a method for carrying out a static load test of a pile easily at a low cost, using a posting vehicle for use in installing piles.
This load testing method for the pile includes a first step of holding the posting vehicle 10 by outriggers 12, 13 provided at the posting vehicle 10 after moving the posting vehicle 10 so that part of the posting vehicle 10 is located above the pile head of a test pile 24 set as an object of the load test; a second step of connecting a hook 19 of a crane 14 provided at the posting vehicle 10, to the pile head of a reaction pile 25 installed in a position separated by a predetermined distance from the test pile 24, and pulling up the hook 19 to apply a tensile force to the tip of a boom 15 of the crane 14; and a third step of interposing a load testing machine 27 with a built-in force applying device, between the bottom of the posting vehicle 10 and the pile head of the test pipe 24, and pressing the test pile 24 downward by the load testing machine 27.
