Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the operating performance of the local communication bus system.
CONSTITUTION: A large number of home use audio video equipments 10-14 are connected to a series of connected control buses D2B, 16. Each equipment is addressable as a device via the bus and has a function element addressable on the sub bus. The equipment 14 includes a display sub device 41 on a screen and a 1st control sub device 24. A sub device state message is defined, and the control sub device informs a state of a sub device, e.g. 26, especially any change in a state is found so as to be automatically informed without the need for consecutive and simultaneous check of the sub device. The sub device state message is used to confirm early the signal path to be set through the system.
