The local dust collector 1 applied to slag granulation equipment 2 which introduces slag 23, separated from matte in a smelting furnace or a slag-cleaning furnace, into a pit 22 filled with water, is equipped with a dust-collecting hood 32, which is movable up and down by means of wire ropes 14A, 14B and a drum 15, and installed so as to cover the introduction location of slag 23 in the pit 22. The dust-collecting hood 32 is connected to an extension/contraction duct 31 with a telescopic structure, and equipped with a top panel 321 and an umbrella plate 322 hung down from the fringe of the top panel, and a curtain 323 with flexibility.
