Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a local freezer with has a simple structure and sufficient flexibility and with excellent insertability into body cavities by a Peltier element attached to the top, an electrifying means which supplies working electric current and a means to discharge absorbed heat to outside. CONSTITUTION:This local freezer for medical use 1 is constructed to a size small enough to be inserted into an extractor cavity for insertion of an endoscope. After a connecting tube 24 which is derived from the terminal is connected to an air sending tube, and lead lines 15, 16 to the electric source, the freezer is inserted into a extractor channel 3 of an endoscope 2 to protrude slightly from the top of the endoscope 2. Then, under observation with an endoscope, it is introduced into the affected part within the body, and a metallic terminal 13, type N transistor element 11, a metallic plate 10, type P transistor element 12, a metallic terminal 14 and a lead line 16 is electrified, the metallic plate 10 is absorbed by Peltier effect and cooled. The air within a top structure 7 is discharged from the body through a discharge outlet 21 and a connecting tube 25, with emission of heat. In this way, a local freezer which can be excellently inserted into the body cavities can be obtained.
