Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable appropriate position information transmission and excellent traceability of a monitored object by changing a wireless or wired transmission interval to an appropriate one depending on a position and time of the monitored object.SOLUTION: Suppression of power consumption of a position information transmitter 1 and capacity reduction of a position information recording unit 108 are achieved by: preparing a table defining a transmission interval in the position information transmitter 1; making it possible to change the transmission interval of transmitting position information in a wireless or wired manner from a position information transmission unit 105 to an external position information reception unit 107, depending on a current position and time; and increasing the transmission interval in a time zone or position at which monitoring is not necessary. On the other hand, accuracy of the position information can be improved by decreasing the transmission interval in a time zone or position at which prioritized monitoring is necessary. Improvement of visibility of a position information history and reduction in time and effort of a user in setting the transmission interval are achieved by reducing the number of the position information transmission by means of a function that temporarily prolongs the transmission interval when the current position is the same as that of the last transmission.
