To provide a lock device, in which a key is not opened when the key device is operated halfway as seen in a dial type lock device and which is difficult to unlock, because a user freely selects a shaft section (hereinafter called as "a girder") for opening and closing the key, the key is opened only by the girder determined by the user and the key is closed when the key is operated halfway.
The lock device 1 has piece sections 12a to 12h moving a main body section 10 in the open direction and the piece sections 13a to 13h moving the main body section 10 in the closing direction when a first operating section 30 is operated. In the lock device 1, the piece sections 12a to 12h opening the key conformed to the choice of the user are selected while the piece sections 13a to 13h closing the key are selected in these piece sections 12a to 12h and 13a to 13h, and each piece section 12a to 12h and 13a to 13h are set. Consequently, whether or not any piece section 12a to 12h is operated in any order is not determined, and the key is, on the contrary, closed when the first operating section 30, in which the piece sections 13a to 13h are set, is operated by mistake in the lock device 1, thus resulting in an extremely difficult unlocking.
