To provide a lock mechanism for a dental instrument hose, the lock mechanism which magnetically keeps such a state that a flying arm lifts up the instrument hose, and therefore prevents an instrument from coming off an instrument holder even when the instrument holder is inclined.
One end of the flying arm 6 is freely rotatably connected to a fixing axis 2a which is arranged beneath a work table 2, the other end is engaged with the instrument hose 5, and when a handpiece is drawn back to the instrument holder, the instrument hose 5 is lifted up. A magnetic member 12 is disposed in a part of the flying arm 6 and a magnet 11 to act on the magnetic member 12 is disposed in the lower part of the work table 2. When the handpiece is returned to the instrument holder, the magnet acts on the magnetic member 12 to thereby keep the flying arm 6 as it is.
