PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism for hand tools having two handles that does not occupy additional space and is safe.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a lock mechanism for a hand tool having two handles, the lock mechanism comprising a latch and a retainer for retaining the latch. The latch comprises a disc and a shaft passing through and fixed with the disc. The shaft is coaxial with the disc. The lock mechanism is disposed within the hand tool.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
