Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent distortion such as depression in a mounting place when a cylinder and a thumb turn are mounted and fixed to a thin metal plate door.
SOLUTION: A lock mounting structure comprises a lock mainbody internally inserted in the side end of a door 5 made from a thin metal plate such as a steel plate and a cylinder 1 and a thumb turn 2 in a pair held and fixed to the door 5 between both sides of the door 5 at a position where the lock mainbody is installed. A cylindrical mounting column 11 protruded on the back of the cylinder 1 is passed through the lock mainbody and a mounting screw 6 is inserted in a screw hole passing through the surface and back of the thumb turn 2 and threaded to a female screw hole open to the end of the mounting column 11 to connect the cylinder 1 and the thumb turn 2 together. In this case, a spacer 3 is intervened in a gap between the back of the thumb turn 2 and the end of the mounting column 11.
