Title:
LOCK-UP APPARATUS FOR TORQUE CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012237441
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To attain a mechanism for regulating an intermediate member in a lock-up apparatus in which a piston and a damper mechanism are disposed at separated positions.

The lock-up apparatus includes: a clutch part 24 disposed between a front cover 2 and a turbine 4; and a damper mechanism 25 for transmitting torque from the clutch part 24 to the turbine 4 and for absorbing and attenuating return vibrations. The damper mechanism 25 includes an input plate 44 whereby torque is input from the clutch part 24, an output plate 45 connected to the turbine 4, a plurality of torsion springs 46, an intermediate member 47, and a regulating member 48. The intermediate member 47 is able to rotate relative to the input plate 44 and the output plate 45, and causes the two torsion springs 46 to act in series. The regulating member 48 is provided on the input plate 44 and regulates the movement of the intermediate member 47 in the axial direction and in the radial direction.
