Abstract:
To provide a lock-up clutch mechanism capable of making contact pressure in the circumferential direction on a friction face more uniform irrespective of a change of a piston pressing force of a lock-up clutch by a simple configuration to prevent judder.
This lock-up clutch mechanism 30 for a torque converter is composed of a lock-up piston 1 and a front cover 2 having an engaging face engageable with the lock-up piston. Friction member bonding faces 15, 16 and 17 for bonding a friction member 12 are formed at either of the lock-up piston and the front cover and have axially rising shapes.
