Abstract:
To reduce wear of a friction material and suppress heat generation.SOLUTION: A lock-up clutch includes: a piston which is connected to a turbine runner and driven in an axis direction by oil pressure to move close to or away from a front cover; an annular friction material provided on a first surface when one of surfaces, facing each other, of the front cover and the piston is referred to as the first surface and the other is referred to as a second surface; and an annular area which is provided on the second surface and faces the annular friction material. The annular area is provided with net-like oil grooves formed by multiple continuous grooves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
