Abstract:
To provide a lock-up damper for a torque converter, which is housed in the torque converter and elastically connects a turbine runner and the piston, so as to absorb the torque fluctuation of the engine in the lock-up state where the piston is engaged.
The lock-up damper device 10 comprises a plurality of damper springs 8, 8, and 9, 9. The damper springs 8, 8 disposed diametrally inward, and the damper springs 9, 9 disposed diametrally outward are arranged in a series by interposing a second separator 16 between both the damper springs. The piston 4 is engaged with a front cover 6 so as to make the lock-up state even when the engine is in a low speed range of rotation.
