The lock-up damper 62 comprises a pair of input plates 63 rotating together, an output plate 64, a plurality of first springs 65, a plurality of second springs (not shown), and a friction member 66. The output plate 64 has a plurality of long holes 64b. On the edge of the long holes 64b, a pair of contact parts 64c is disposed oppositely to the rotational direction. The friction member 66 has a plurality of pins 67 arranged between directions of the pair of contact parts 64c via a clearance S1, a pair of base plates 68 secured to both ends of each pin 67, and a plurality of friction facings 69 secured to both ends of the base plate 68 and brought into contact with a pair of input plates 63. The dimension between axial directions of base plates 68 is greater than the axial dimension of the output plate 64.
