Abstract:
The lock has rotor and stator assemblies, where the rotor assembly includes a front axial end (11) and a retaining unit (13). The axial end cooperates with a sub assembly universal joint (12) to lock and unlock an opening of a vehicle when a key is introduced in the lock. The retaining unit is fixed by a clipping unit (16) on the stator assembly after the rotor and the stator assemblies are mounted and fixed between them. The retaining unit comprises a set of lugs (15) and a circular part that is supported against the rotor assembly, where the retaining unit is a metal e.g. steel.
