Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick flat type roof tile in which a rear-end part reliably locks and fixes a head-side insert receiver to prevent the movements or floating of tiles.
SOLUTION: In a thick flat type roof tile X of which thickness is about equal to the total thickness of a tile batter cover part S and a receiver part U, this invention concerns a locking wind resisting thick flat tile provided with a locking receiving part 2a formed at the head-side end T of the receiver part U nearly on a level with the tile back and separated from a gutter by a flashing 6, and with a locking protrusion 3a formed at the center of the upper surface of a rear round side, with its back being about on a level with or higher than the tile surface. When these tiles are laid, the locking protrusion 3a of a tile located at a diagonally lower row engages and fixes the engaging receiving part 2c of another tile at a diagonally upper row. This tile contributes to the prevention of its lift, slippage or the entrance of rainwater during storms, and to easy and quick roofing work execution.
