The locker apparatus, a plurality of lockers 2 and 9 for giving and receiving an article such as mail or a parcel, a locker control section 22 controlling the opening and closing of each of the lockers, a card reader 23 reading personal authentication information from a card, a weighing section 5 weighing the article, a main control section 21 controlling the locker control section depending on personal authentication information entered and opening an applicable locker, a touch panel display section 4 for entering a password, locker specification information and the like and matters necessary for delivery of the article and displaying a weighing value from the weighing section and operations, and a printer 25 issuing a certificate stamp of a charge previously set from the weighing value entered and matters necessary for delivery of the article. The main control section makes a settlement by sending the price of the certificate stamp issued to a center 32 by using personal authentication information and a password entered.
