To provide a locker management system enabling an unspecified home-delivery deliverer, when delivering a home-delivery package, to store the package in a temporary storage locker even when the receiver of the home-delivery package is in a remote place.
This locker management system comprises the locker 1 to be managed by the receiver of home-delivery package to temporarily store the home delivery package, and a communication terminal possessed by the receiver of home-delivery package to control the locker 1 through a public communication line. The locker 1 has a storage chamber 1a for storing the home-delivery package; a door 10 for opening and closing the chamber 1a; a lock device 8 for locking and unlocking the door 10; an input device 36 capable of inputting home delivery information by the unspecified home-delivery deliverer; and a control device 23 for controlling the home delivery information to be transmitted to the communication terminal, and controlling the lock device to be unlocked based on an unlock instruction transmitted from the communication terminal. The communication terminal has an output device for outputting the home delivery information transmitted from the locker 1; an input device capable of inputting the unlock instruction of the lock device; and a control device for controlling the unlock instruction to be transmitted to the locker.
