To improve a crime prevention function, in a locking apparatus for a door including hook deads.

This locking apparatus for the door is constituted by providing a pair of hook deads in parallel in the vertical direction with the predetermined space therebetween, providing hook engaging parts (for example, engaging tooth and engaging pins) in terminal parts of upper and lower hooks constituting the hook deads supported on a pair of upper and lower fixing shafts provided laterally in a lock box, respectively, and fitting a mobile rack for synchronizing the hook deads having a part to be engaged with which these hook engaging parts are engaged in a horizontal guide of the lock box slidably. When locking the door, the upper and lower hook deads move synchronously through the mobile rack when a top joint rotates, a tip of a dead bolt is engaged with a hole for receiving a fixing member, and tips of the hooks can be hooked on a rear surface of a hooking part of the fixing member around the hole for receiving it.
