To provide a locking device having a compensation element with a length tolerance limited in a structure without changing an outside diameter of the locking device and having influence on switching hysteresis by providing a length compensation element between a locking member and a component of the locking device.
A locking member 8a is movably guided in an outer housing 2, and the locking member 8a is energized at the end by a compression spring 14. The compression spring 14 is supported on a bottom 15 and causes a stroke movement of the locking member 8a. A compensation element 16a inserted between the bottom 15 and an end face 13 is useful for compensating for a worming tolerance and adjusting a size (X) between a function position of a locking element 11 and an end side of a pivot head part 22. A contact part 24 is disposed in a locking device 1 on the opposite side to the bottom 15 of the pivot head part 22 formed like a projecting surface. The total tolerance of the individual components of the locking device is compensated by the compensating element 16a to achieve a desired switching accuracy of a switching element 25.
