To provide a locking device for a valve-operating member, capable of not only surely blocking the motion of the valve-operating member, but also of simply unlocking the blocked motion, and further, allowing the valve operating member to move freely, as needed, after unlocking the blocked motion of the valve-operating member.
The locking device 10 for the valve-operating member, which is for example, used to block the motion of a lever 13 for operating a meter gas plug 12 disposed in the course of a gas supply pipe 11, comprises a case member 20 which can be opened and closed freely; an mounting means 30 for mounting the case member on the gas supply pipe; a limiting means 40, which blocks the motion of the lever in a closed state of the case member and allows the lever to move in a opened state of the case member; an allowing means 80, which allows the lever to move in the closed state of the case member; a dial lock 50, which is changed from its locked state to its unlocked state by tuning it to an unlocking number; and a locking means 60, which locks the case member into its closed state in the locked state of the dial lock.
