Abstract:

To allow anyone to easily and surely insert a rear holder into a connector in a terminal inserting direction.

This locking member inserting tool 1 for the connector includes a base member 2 having a connector storage chamber 18, a sliding member 3 slidably arranged on the base member and having an abutting wall 29 for pushing the connector into the connector storage chamber while abutting on the rear holder 36 of the connector 35, and an operation member 4 fixed to or integrated with the sliding member and having a protruded wall 41 located along the upper end of the connector in the connector storage chamber, when moved forward. The connector is set obliquely upward on the inlet side of the connector storage chamber in the state that the rear holder is opened downward via a hinge 46, and the protruded wall 41 horizontally pushes down the upper part of the connector when the operation member is moved forward.
