To provide a locking tool with an engaging mechanism which is small in size, light in weight and can not be disengaged simply.
The locking tool is for attaching and detaching a female hook 1 and a male hook 2. Between an outer case 3 and a lower case 4 fitted by a locking stud 8, the female hook 1 is provided with: an engaging member 6 to engage with the hook of the male hook 2; a stopper 5 for engaging the engaging member in the state of engaging with the hook of the male hook 2; and a spring member 7 for biasing the stopper in the state of engaging with the hook of the male hook. The outer case 3 is formed of nonmagnetic material, and magnetic force of a magnet 31 is made to act on the stopper 5 from the outside of the outer case to operate against the elastic force of the spring member 7. Thus, the stopper 5 disengages the engaging member 6, and the female hook 2 can be detached from the male hook 1.
