Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock-up clutch capable of improving smoothness in operation by reducing friction and hysteresis in expanding and contracting a spring.SOLUTION: A lock-up clutch LC includes a spring 6 held by a piston 5 in a state of being curved into the circular arc shape along a circumferential direction of the piston 5 capable of being kept into contact with and separated from a driving rotary member 1, and set to engage with an engagement portion 30 disposed at a driven rotary member 20 side, further includes a spring restriction member 8 displaceable in the circumferential direction of the piston 5 relatively thereto, and engaged with the spring 6 to restrict movement of at least one of an end portion and an intermediate part in an axial longitudinal direction of the spring 6, to a radial outer side of the piston 5, and a rotation supporting portion 44 of the spring restriction member 8 is rotatable along curved faces 40a, 83a curved to be projected at a radial outer side of the piston 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
