Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock-up clutch capable of improving smoothness in operation by reducing friction and hysteresis in expanding and contracting a spring.SOLUTION: In a lock-up clutch LC including a piston 5 capable of being kept into contact with and separated from a driving rotary member 1, and a spring 6 held by the piston 5 in a state of being curved into the circular arc shape along a circumferential direction of the piston 5, and set to engage with an engagement portion 30 disposed at a driven rotary member 20 side, further includes at least one spring restriction member 8 displaceable in the circumferential direction of the piston 5 relatively to the piston 5, and engaged with the spring 6 so that movement to a radial outer part side of the piston 5, of at least one of an end portion and an intermediate part in an axial longitudinal direction, of the spring 6 is restricted, and a rotation supporting portion 44 of the spring restriction member 8 is offset in a prescribed direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
