Abstract:

To provide a lockup damper incorporated in a torque converter and having a construction causing no problem from insufficient strength of intermediate supports for spring force and centrifugal force of damper springs.

The lockup damper has the damper springs 4, 4 held between a piston side spring holder 1 and turbine side spring holders 2, 3 and arranged in series, and the intermediate supports 5 independent of each other are interposed between the respective damper springs 4, 4.
