To provide a lockup damper mechanism of a torque converter, configured to reduce a crosswise space in comparison with the conventional one and to suppress the number of components.
This lockup damper mechanism 1 is provided with an input-side plate 11, an intermediate plate 13, and an output-side plate 12, and integrally rotated by coil springs 14, 17. The coil spring 14 is retained not to be moved in a radial direction between a piston 10 and the peripheral wall of the input-side plate 11, and retained not to be axially moved between the piston 10 and the peripheral end of the intermediate plate 13. The coil spring 17 is retained immovably in the radial direction within the retaining hole 13d of the intermediate plate 13, and retained axially immovably between the piston 10 and the regulating/retaining part 12a of the output-side plate 12.
