Title:
LOCKUP DEVICE FOR TORQUE CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3961740
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently ensure circumferential length without increasing load acting on a torsion spring.
SOLUTION: This device 6 mechanically connects a front cover 3 of a torque converter 1 with a member on a turbine 5 side, and comprises an input side plate 21, a middle plate 23, a first damper 25, and an output plate 27. The input side plate 21 is movably placed between the front cover 3 and the turbine 5 in an axial direction and connectable/disconnectable to/from the front cover 3, and is formed with multiple first jaws 21b at intervals in the circumferential direction. The middle plate 23 is placed to oppose to the input side plate 21, and is formed with multiple second jaws 35b capable of abutting to multiple first jaws 21b from a rotating direction. The first damper 25 elastically connects the input side plate 21 with the middle plate 23 in the rotating direction. The output plate 27 where torque is inputted from the middle plate 23 is connected to the member on the turbine 5 side.
