Title:
LOG BOOM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011074736
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To minimize the lowering of the buoyancy of a floating body when the floating body receives a shock when hit directly by a driftwood.

This log boom comprises a plurality of floating bodies 30 which are attached in one row to a net 20 with a weight in the longitudinal direction. The floating body 30 includes a plurality of vacant plastic bottles 40 held in an assembled state. Since the floating body 30 is formed of a plurality of vacant plastic bottles 40, even if the floating body is hit directly by a driftwood, merely part of the vacant plastic bottles 40 are damaged. Therefore, though the floating body 30 loses the buoyancy by an amount equal to that of the damaged vacant plastic bottles 40, the floating body can maintain the amount of the buoyancy equal to that of the remaining plastic bottles 40. Then, even immediately after the floating body is hit directly by a driftwood, the buoyancy thereof is not completely lost.
