Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a long material covered with the brazing filler metal capable of being appropriately cut to the prescribed length in the use, and a method and equipment for manufacturing the long material covered with the brazing filler metal powder where the prescribed amount of the brazing filler metal is uniformly fixed to the long material.
CONSTITUTION: A spray gun 8 is installed facing a traveling passage 7 of an extrusion formed long material 1 made of aluminum or aluminum alloy, and brazing filler metal powder solution feeding equipment 13 consisting of a compressed air feeding equipment 11, brazing filler metal powder solution circulating equipment 15 and a feeding tube 14 is connected to the spray gun 8. Drying equipment 20 and a coiling machine 3 are installed on the downstream side of the installation part of the traveling passage 7 where the spray gun 8 is installed. The long material 1 is traveled at the constant speed along the traveling passage 7, the brazing filler metal powder solution is coated with the spray gun 8 on the upper side and/or lower side, and the long material is coiled by the coiling machine 3 after the powder is dried and fixed thereto.
