Abstract:
To provide a long material take-up drum having improved storing and transporting efficiency in an empty condition by making its whole volume compact in the empty condition.
On the side of an inner face 1a of a collar plate 1, a locking means 3 is provided in opposition to an inner face 2a of a barrel 2. The locking means 3 detachably locks the barrel 2 ranging over the sides of the inner faces 1a of the pair of collar plates 1. At least each collar plate 1 is formed of a reusable material. After the drum is used into the empty condition, the lock of the barrel 2 by the locking means 3 is cancelled to remove the barrel 2 from the collar plates 1 and at least the collar plates 1 are gathered and stacked, resulting in a greatly reduced volume.
