This system is provided with an emergency earthquake flash report receiving means provided in each of a plurality of regions to receive an emergency earthquake flash report for every region, a remote monitoring center 5 for receiving related information on the emergency earthquake flash report transmitted from the emergency earthquake flash report receiving means and judging whether or not the received earthquake has seismic intensity and distance to be objects of the long period vibration, and an elevator remote monitoring device 10 performing an earthquake control operation for the elevator having the possibility of receiving the damage by the long period vibration by receiving a command from the remote monitoring center 5.
