To provide a band plate winding frame and its manufacturing method which can wind without hurting the surface of the resin layer and without generating a slip, when a long size band plate, especially a metal plate having an organic resin layer such as a resin covered steel plate and a coating steel plate is wound in a coil form.
In this long size article winding frame, the outer peripheral surface of a metal cylinder 1 is covered by a resin layer 2, and the surface of the resin layer 2 is made in a roughened surface. The resin layer 2 provided on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder made of a metal is made in a resin layer having the friction coefficient larger than the metal of the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder 1 made of a metal, and having a sufficient flexibility. The condition of the roughened surface is different according to the sort of the band plate or the like to be wound, and it is preferable to be 50 μm to 500 μm at the largest part (the ridge and the valley of the uneven plane).
