PURPOSE: To demand exchange of an electric bulb of an indicating lamp or an illuminating lamp by instantly informing to a monitoring place at the time when the electric bulb of the indicating lamp or the illuminating lamp comes to its end of life and to improve serviceability to an elevator passenger.

CONSTITUTION: An electric current detector 3 is provided between a fluorescent lamp 2 and a switch, pulsing currents repeatedly generated at the time when an electric bulb is burnt out are detected, judgement of longevity is carried out, the electric current detector 3 is provided between an incandescent lamp and the switch, an electric current 'zero' at the time when the bulb is burnt out is detected, judgement of the bulb burnt out is carried out, a lighting hour meter is provided on the fluorescent lamp 2, comparison of assumed longevity time and lighting cumulative time is carried out, and longevity is judged.
