Title:
LONGITUDINALLY MOVABLE CAR SEAT HAVING LOWER FRAME AND TWO PAIRS OF RAILS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006176115
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a longitudinally movable car seat winding excessive length of a traction cable generated in the forward movement of the seat by a simple mechanism with the small number of components.

The longitudinally movable car seat has two pairs of rails (22, 24), two buckling devices (26), and one drive lever (30) for the buckling devices (26) on a lower frame (20). The seat also has a seat bottom plate (32) carried by the lower frame (20), the seat bottom plate (32) has a backrest (34) to be pivotably turned around a backrest shaft (36), and a disengaging lever (38) is provided on the backrest. When the disengaging lever is at the operational position, the backrest (34) is unlocked in a tiltable manner. When the backrest (34) is tilted forward, the buckling device (26) is unlocked by the operation of the driving lever (30), and the seat is movable from the initial position to the forwardly moving position. A storage mechanism (42) is provided so that the seat is reliably returned to the initial position when the seat is returned backwardly from the forwardly moving position.
