Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loom for producing a woven fabric allowing high-speed weaving, and having a woven structure made different in the middle of a width direction which is the weft direction of the woven fabric, thereby having design characteristics imparted thereto in a weaving process; and to provide a method for weaving the woven fabric.SOLUTION: Weft insertion means of a loom is provided on an upstream side in a weft insertion direction and includes a nozzle 4 which jets a fluid, thereby causing a weft yarn 3 to fly in the weft insertion direction. The jetting pressure and the jetting time of the fluid in the nozzle 4 can be adjusted. On the downstream side of the nozzle 4 in the weft insertion direction, there is provided a sensor 9 for detecting the arrival of the weft yarn 3. The sensor 9 can be freely turned on and off.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
