Title:
LOOM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008111209
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a loom of simple structure, needing no wide space, enabling its structure, action, etc. to be understood accurately, simple in looming preparation, and usable as a teaching material of course, for making patchwork or the like as well.

The loom has the following construction and mechanism: A shedding motion is provided to form shedding on the near middle part of warps suspended in parallel between a pair of the facing sides of a frame, warp housing parts for individually housing warps therein, and an operative part with which the shedding motion is rotatingly operated. Each of the warp housing parts is furnished with a warp-receiving element, and the warp-receiving elements of the respective warp housing parts adjacent to each other are made to differ in height from each other so as to make a warp shedding. The shedding motion is rotated, or rotated following lifting it once, and then made to descend, thereby moving warps adjacent to each other vertically and switching the shedding motion alternately.
