Title:
LOOP-TYPE HEAT PIPE, AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012083082
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a loop-type heat pipe capable of starting even when vapor-phase working fluid exists in a liquid pipe.

This loop-type heat pipe 10 includes: an evaporating section 11 having a wick 11a for evaporating liquid-phase working fluid 16 to change its phase to the vapor-phase working fluid 16, and a vapor flow channel 11b for circulating the phase-changed vapor-phase working fluid 16; a condensing section 12 for condensing the vapor-phase working fluid 16 to change the phase to the liquid-phase working fluid 16; a vapor pipe 13 for circulating the working fluid 16 changed to the vapor phase by the evaporating section 11, to the condensing section 12; a liquid pipe 14 for circulating the working fluid 16 changed to the liquid phase by the condensing section 12, to the evaporating section 11; a liquid storage section 15 disposed between the liquid pipe 14 and the evaporating section 11 for retaining the working fluid 16 supplied to the evaporating section 11; and the working fluid of, at least, the amount to impregnate the wick 11a with the working fluid. A volume Vr of the liquid storage section 15 is larger than the sum of a volume Vg of the vapor flow channel 11b, a volume Vv of the vapor pipe 13 and a volume Vc of the condensing section 12.
