In a loop type heat pipe including an evaporator 10 built in with at least one wick 5 changing a liquid phase working liquid into a gaseous phase working liquid, a casing of the evaporator 10 is divided into a liquid side manifold 11, a vapor side manifold 12, and a wick holding part 13 holding the wick 5, casings of the wick holding part 13 and a vapor holding part 12 are provided as an integral metal casing, the liquid side manifold 11 is provided as a double casing of an outer side casing 41 flush with the metal casing and made of metal, and an inner side casing 42 holding the liquid phase working liquid and made of resin with low thermal conductivity, and a heat insulation space 40 is provided between the inner side casing 42 and the outer side casing 41 to prevent easy heat transmission to the working liquid.
